Apparently, 62 million was a slow month and it was the month of February. However in March the academy had over 81 million visits. What are the repercussions of boys who are never taught to respect women or understand the definition of consent? They often grow into men who are not held accountable for abuse, assault, rape, and murder. I am a survivor of such a man, a twenty-six-year-old who raped me at fifteen, then later raped his wife, children, and others. A decade ago, I shared my story about the night that changed my life forever. Forty years later, that night still haunts me—less intensely, but the body always remembers, even when the mind forgets. I awoke dazed and helpless as a man forcibly raped me. Why did he stop? I vomited everywhere.
