Baking Soda Candida

I get a white coat on my tongue! Is it candida?
I’m able to get rid of it temporarily by scraping it with baking soda, but it always come back. Do you think its candida or just dead skin cells?
It’s probably candida. My mom had something like that and had to put this paste on her tongue to clear it up! Not sure if she needed a prescription or if she got it over the counter.
